ACI employ an exclusive team of nurses who have the necessary skills and clinical experience to interview, appraise and perform NMC Confirmation for nurses of all grades and specialties. We have been successfully running these services since 2013 and also now perform doctors’ and allied health professionals interviews.
It is a framework requirement that all Healthcare Recruitment businesses ensure that Registered Nurses are interviewed and appraised by a Registered Nurse of a more senior grade; from the same speciality if appropriate and the interviewer must be qualified in interviewing / appraisal skills. This will be inspected on audit. Appraisals need to be performed annually.
Nurse Interviews
Healthcare Recruitment businesses need to ensure that Registered Nurses are interviewed by a Registered Nurse of a more senior grade; from the same speciality if appropriate and the interviewer must be qualified in interviewing skills. ACI employ RNs of Band 7 and above with the appropriate training, skills and expertise to conduct these interviews. We also can provide interviews for Doctors, Healthcare Assistants and Allied Healthcare Professionals.
Nurse Appraisals
All ACI Registered Nurses who perform appraisal have received appraiser training and attend regular update workshops to ensure we keep up to date with best practice.
Nurse Revalidation
Every 3 years nurses must go through the revalidation process to remain registered with the NMC. Employers have a responsibility to support their nurses through the revalidation process and to provide access to a confirmer.
Locum nurses can sometimes find it difficult to appoint a “line manager” as their NMC confirmer.
ACI are able to act as confirmer for the revalidation process and at the same time provide a reflective discussion with the nurse to use as part of the process.
